But how hard do you think Bud was really trying? Did he raise it to the union, they said no, and that was it? He certainly wasn't public with any statements about steroids. The media would be throwing it up to his face right now if he had acknowledged it. The union's job is to not give up those rights. The commissioner's job is to deal with the union.
