The New York Yankees are in a tight battle for the American League East pennant as the Major League Baseball season enters its final weeks. The heated rivalry between the Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays, the two best teams in baseball, is not yet over.

Fans of sports betting sites must consider that the Rays surpassed the Yankees to take the top spot in the division after a 4-3 win on Tuesday night. The two teams just finished a three-game series in Florida, in which each game was decided by just one run. The Rays took Games 1 by a score of 1-0 and Game 3, while New York held on in Game 2 for the 8-7 win.

The teams have swapped spots in the first place seat of the division three times throughout the season. And yet, with only three weeks of baseball left to play, the teams will play another four-game series in New York on September 20-23.
This series will be for all the marbles, as the Rays and Yankees battle it out for the division leader. Sports fanatics are already calling it the “World Series of the 2010 Regular Season.”
The second-place finisher will win the American League Wildcard spot, and nevertheless qualify for the post-season. However, the division winner gets home field advantage in the playoffs, a favor worth fighting for.
All baseball fans are looking forward to this game with anxiety as the ending of a long and hard-fought season will all come down to this.
