Dellin Betances wasn’t great, but he took a massive step forward as Scranton defeated Lehigh Valley, 3-1.

A tough tonight all around the minors for offense, as Tampa only mustered two runs in a 3-2 loss to Brevard County.

Rob Segedin remained hot, going 2-for-4 with a double, run batted in, and run scored in the loss. He also stole a base, his third. Segedin is hitting .350 in his last ten games, with six extra-base hits and is at .329/.385/.549 overall.

JR Murphy (.265/.324/.353) chipped in a single.

Nik Turley started, and was his usual brilliant self: 8 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K. He now has a 2.01 ERA in five starts (31.1 IP, 27 H, 8 R, 7 ER, 1 HR, 10 BB, 32 K). He is also generating a lot of grounders – 2.17 GO/AO entering the game…and he put up a 12/3 ratio tonight.
