Scranton:

Rare Tuesday off for Scranton. ————————– Trenton:

Defeated New Britain, 7-4.

*David Adams: *2-for-3, 2B (23), HR (8), RBI, 2 BB, RS – Now hitting .315 on the season. Thishasbeen a remarkable season for Adams, who has put himself right back on the map. *Adonis Garcia: *2-for-5, 2 HR (4), 3 RBI, 2 RS – Right-handed hitting outfielder out of Cuba has three home runs in last three games after hitting two in his first 49 games with Tampa/Trenton. *Kevin Mahoney: *2-for-4, 2 2B (11), RS *Rob Segedin: *1-for-4, 2B (5), RBI, RS – The Double-A barrier has been rough on Segedin. *Zoilo Almonte: *1-for-3, RBI, RS – Almonte has been slumping a bit (6 for his last 37)

*Vidal Nuno: *6 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 1 HR (2.39 ERA; 109 IP, 103 H, 38 R, 29 ER, 10 HR, 26 BB, 93 K) – He is a fly ball pitcher, so the home runs are going to be a part of that. But it is hard to argue with his season. I assume he is on his way to Scranton in 2013. *Ryan Pope: *1.2 IP,1H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K (4.57 ERA; 63 IP, 80 H, 40 R, 32 ER, 8 HR, 14 BB, 64 K) ———————————- Tampa:

Lost a DH vs. Dunedin, 5-1 and 1-0.

*Tyler Austin: *2-for-6, 2 2B (11), RS *Kyle Roller: *3-for-6, 2B (21) – The big left-handed hitter has been productive this season (18 HR, 82 RBI, .840 OPS entering tonight’s action). He doesn’t offer much defensively, but we’ll be seeing him in Trenton in 2013. *Gary Sanchez: *1-for-6 *Slade Heathcott: *0-for-5, BB, SB (17) – Slipped below .300 as he is now at .299 on the season. He is going to be perhaps the most fascinating prospect in 2013.

*Matt Tracy: *5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 4 K (5-7, 3.18 ERA; 99 IP, 87 H, 47 R, 35 ER, 39 BB, 65 K) – Just imagine how good he will be when he “learns how to win”. Seriously, solid season for Tracy who isn’t going to wow you with his stuff – but he generates a lot of ground balls. *Tom Kahnle: *1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K (2.33 ERA; 54 IP, 28 H, 15 R, 14 ER, 3 HR, 24 BB, 71 K) – This is a name you will be hearing about in Trenton next season. ——————————— Charleston:

Postponed. ——————————– Staten Island:

*Matt Duran: *2-for-5, HR (3), 2 RBI, RS – After a miserable start to the season, Duran has caught fire. 16 for his last 39 with six doubles, three home runs and 13 runs batted in. *Pete O’Brien: *1-for-5, 2 RBI, RS – Hitting .195 on the season for Staten Island. Has shown off his plus power, but is having some trouble otherwise *Jose Rosario: *1-for-4, RBI, RS, 2 SB (13) *Taylor Dugas: *2-for-3, 2B (8), RBI, RS, 2 BB, SB (5) – Now has 44 walks in 53 games. *Claudio Custodio: *2-for-5, 2B (10), RS, SB (12) – Staten Island has some speedster types on their roster, and Custodio is no different. Had big year in GCL last year (.847 OPS). Hitting .257 for Staten Island.

*Andrew Benak: *5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K (4.34 ERA; 56 IP, 61 H, 30 R, 27 ER, 2 HR, 22 BB, 33 K)
