Scranton: Scranton came out of the All-Star Break swinging the lumber, pounded out 12 runs on 16 hits in a 12-5 victory. Jesus Montero went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and three runs scored in the win. He also drew a walk. Montero is now hitting .259 on the season with 19 doubles,

In promotion news, Andrew Brackman was promoted to Trenton & Zolio Almonte was promoted to Tampa. Almonte is a 21-year old center-fielder. This is quite the leap for the young man. Tampa: Dellin Betances finally stood foot on a baseball mound tonight, and pitched extremely well in a victory. Betances (22) went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. He walked nobody and struck out 6. Betances is one of the biggest prospects in the organization (talent wise and size was) when he is healthy
